Can Chinese replace English and become the dominating language in the world?
I don't think so, as chinese is quite different from those languages with alphabets.
Meanwhile, English has been an international language for ages, and Chinese may need a long period of time to gain this status.
However, we should also consider that money can make things possible...
Perhaps one day sun will rise from the 'EAST'

No.
But I am quite interested in why the topic is not just like "Can Cantonese replace Chinese"
Chinese and English are totally different. We can hardly draw a conclusion on it.

I think Chinese can never replace English .
English is a international language nowadays .
It is not just a language only , it also consist a series of thing such as culture and racial .
In a contrast , China is a conservative country while the countries which speak in English are open .
Also , there are a lot of local culture in different racial in China .
Therefore , changing a language is not only changing a tongue , it also bring different culture and impression .
